“Than” ile birlikte karşılaştırmalar yaparız.

ör. Senin evin benimkinden çok daha büyük.

We use comparatives with than.

eg. Your house is far bigger than mine.

We use adjectives with as… as.

eg. The price is nowhere near as high as I expected it to be.

“As…as” ile sıfatlar kullanırız.

ör. Fiyatlar hiçbir yerde beklediğime yakın yükseklikte bile değildi.

not nearly as… as

a lot… than

A small difference: (Küçük bir fark)

almost as… as

nearly as… as

not quite as… as

No difference: (Fark Bulunmuyor)

(just) as… as

NB: We can use more or less with nouns.

eg. There is far more stuff here than I expected.

NOT: “More or less” i isimler ile beraber kullanabiliriz.

ör. Burada beklediğimden çok daha fazla şeyler var.

We usually use less with uncountable nouns and fewer with countable nouns.

eg. I have less pay and fewer holidays than I used to have.

Genellikle “less” sayılamayan isimler ve “fewer” sayılabilir isimler ile kullanılır.

ör. Daha önce sahip olduğumdan daha az maaş ve tatil günüm bulunuyor.
