INGILIZCE MAKING COMPLAINTS AND REGUESTS – ŞIKAYETLERDE VE TALEPLERDE BULUNMAK – TÜRKÇE KONU ANLATIMI

İngilizcede, şikayetde ve talepde bulunmak için bazı nazik ifade şekilleri bulunmaktadır.

In English we have some polite phrases for making complaints and requests.

For example: ( Örneğin:)

Making complaints: (Şikayetde bulunmak için:)

I’m sorry, but I’ve got a bit of a problem. (Pardon, ancak küçük bir sorunum var)

I’m afraid I’ve got a complaint. (Korkarım bir şikayetim olacak)

I’m sorry, but I think there’s something wrong with (the TV). (Pardon, ancak (TV ile ilgili) bir terslik var sanırım)

Making requests: (Talepde bulunmak için:)

I wonder if you could check for me? (Benim için kontrol edebilirmisin diye merak etmiştim)

I wonder if I could have some more towels, please? (Birkaç tane daha havlu alabilirmiyim diye merak etmiştim, lütfen?)

Could I speak to the manager, please? (Müdür ile konuşabilirmiyim, lütfen?)

Could you help me? (Bana yardımcı olabilirmisiniz?)

Would you mind sending someone to look at it? (Buna bakmak için birilerini gönderebilirmiydiniz acaba?)

After I wonder if I/you could and Could I/you we use the infinitive.

(“I wounder if/You could ve Could I/you” dan sonra mastarı kullanırız.)

eg. I wonder if you could help me? (Örnek: Bana yardımcı olabilirmisiniz diye merak etmiştim?)

Could you help me?(Bana yardımcı olabilirmisiniz?)

After Would you mind we use verb + ing.(“Would you mind” dan sonra fiil + ing kullanırız.)

eg. Would you mind opening the door?(Örnek : Kapıyı açabilirmiydiniz acaba?)

TIP: I wonder if I/you could…? and Would you mind…? are more polite than Can/Could I…?

(İPUCU: “I wonder if I / you could…?” ve “Would you mind…?” “Can/Could I…?” dan daha nazik ifadelerdir.)
