INGILIZCE-MIGHT – OLASILIK – TÜRKÇE KONU ANLATIMI

“Might” gelecekte muhtemel olan fakat karar verilmemiş şeyler için kullanılır. “Might” tan sonra infinitive gelir.

We use might to say something in the future is possible, but not decided.After might we use the infinitive.

NB: Might is the same for all subjects!
(NOT:“Might” tüm özneler için aynıdır.)

Positives: (Olumlu)

I might go to the pub with Claire tonight. (Bu gece Claire ile birlikte pub’a gidebilirim.)

She might bring some friends to the party. (O partiye bir kaç arkadaşını getirebilir.)

He might take the day off work tomorrow. (O yarın işten izin alabilir.)

You might like the movie. (Filmi beğenebilirsin.)

We might go to the theatre on Saturday or we might go out for dinner. (Cumartesi sinemaya veya akşam yemeğine gidebiliriz.)

They might stay with us when they visit Istanbul or they might stay in a hotel. (İstanbul’a geldiklerinde bizde veya hotelde kalabilirler.)

Negatives: (Olumsuz)

I might not watch the match tonight. (Bu gece maçı izlemeyebilirim.)

She mightn’t come to the meeting. (O buluşmaya gelemeyebilir.)

We mightn’t have a party next weekend. (Gelecek hafta sonu parti yapmayabiliriz.)

To make questions with might we usually use Do you think…?
(“Might” ile soru yapmak için genellikle “Do you think …?” kullanılır.)

eg. Do you think she might come to London this summer? (Örnek:Bu yaz onun Londra’ya gelebileceğini düşünüyor musun?)

Do you think you might see Peter while you’re in Perth? (Pert’teyken Peter’i görebileceğini düşünüyor musun?)

We can also use might in short answers. (“Might” kısa cevaplar için de kullanılır.)

eg. Yes, she might.

No, I might not.
