Yabancı bir ülkeye gittiğinizde yönleri sorabiliyor ve anlıyor olmak çok kullanışlıdır. Aynı zamanda yön tarif etmeniz de gerekebilir.

When you go travelling it’s very useful to be able to ask for and understand directions. You may also need to be able to give directions.

Useful Phrases:

– turn right (sağa dön)

– turn left (sola dön)

– go over (the bridge) (üzerinden)

– go past (geçmek)

– go along (boyunca)

– it’s on the left (solda)

– it’s on the right (sağda)

– it’s opposite (karşısında)

– it’s next to (yanında)

Asking for directions: (Yön tarifi sormak)

Excuse me, Is there (a chemist) near here? (Pardon, buraya yakın bir eczane var mı?)

Where’s ( the police station)? (Polis istasyonu nerede?)

Do you know ( the Park Hotel)? (Park Hotel’i biliyor musunuz?)

Giving directions: (Yön tarifi vermek)

Go along this road and turn right. (Bu yol boyunca git ve sağa dön.)

Go past the pub. (Pub’ı geç.)

Go over the bridge. (Köprüyü geç.)

The newsagent’s is on the left.(Haber ajansı sağda.)

It’s opposite the supermarket. (Marketin karşısında.)

It’s next to the Internet cafe. (İnternet kafenin yanında.)

It’s over there. (Tam şurada.)

You can’t miss it. (Görmeden geçmezsin (ıskalamazsın).)
