INGILIZCE FIRST CONDITIONAL – BIRINCI ŞART KIPI – TÜRKÇE KONU ANLATIMI

“The First Conditional” (also called “Conditional Type 1”) is a structure used for talking about possibilities in the present or in the future.
(“Birinci Şart Kipi” (aynı zmanda “Conditional Type 1” denir) şimdiki ve gelecek zaman hakkında konuşmak için kullanılan bir yapıdır.)

A first conditional sentence consists of two clauses, an “if” clause and a “main clause”.
(Bir birinci şart kipindeki cümle iki tümceden meydana gelir, bir “if” tümcesi ve bir “main clause”.)

FORM (Şekil):
If + subject + present simple, subject + will + infinitive
(If + özne + geniş zaman, özne + will + mastar)

Examples (Örnekler):
If it rains, I’ll stay at home. (There are clouds in the sky, it’s possible)
(Eğer yağmur yağarsa, evde kalacağım. (Gökyüzü bulutlu, bu olası bir durdum))

If the “if” clause comes first, a comma is usually used. If the “if” clause comes second, there is no need for a comma:
(“If” tümcesi eğer önce gelirse, genellikle bir virgül kullanılır.Eğer “if” tümcesi ikinci sırada gelirse, virgüle ihtiyaç yoktur:)

Examples (Örnekler):
I’ll stay at home if it rains.
(Eğer yağmur yağarsa evde kalacağım)

The first conditional is used to talk about things which are possible in the present or the future — things which may happen.The “if” clause talks about things that are possible, but not certain and the main clause says what we think the result will be in this situation.
(Birinci şart kipi şimdiki veya gelecek zamanda olması mümkün olan – olması olası olan şeyler hakkında konuşmak için kullanılır.“If” tümcesi mümkün olması olası olan şeyler hakkında bahseder, ama kesin değil ve temel tümce bu durumda sonucun nasıl olacağı konusundaki düşüncemizi bildirir.)

Examples (Örnekler):
If I’m late again, I’ll lose my job.
(Eğer yine geç kalırsam, işimi kaybedeceğim.)

If we don’t hurry, we’ll miss the plane.
(Eğer acele etmezsek, uçağı kaçıracağız)

We’ll get there on time if we take a taxi.
(Eğer taksi’ye binersek, oraya zamanında varacağız)

I’ll cook if you do the washing up.
(Eğer sen çamaşırları yıkarsan, ben yemek pişireceğim)

If I get the job, I’ll pay for dinner.
(İşi alırsam, akşam yemeğini ben ödeyeceğim)
