INGILIZCE PRESENT CONTINUOUS – ŞIMDIKI ZAMAN – TÜRKÇE KONU ANLATIMI

“Present Continuous” şu an ne oluyorun hakkında konuşmak için kullanılır. Yardımcı fiil olarak “am” – “is” – “are” kullanılmaktadır. “Present Continuous” genellikler “now”, “today”, “at the moment” kelimeleri ile birlikte kullanılmaktadır.

We use the Present Continuous to talk about what is happening now. We use am, is and are as auxiliary verbs.We usually use the Present Continuous with these words: now, today, at the moment.

Form: to be + verb + ing

For example: (Örneğin)

Positive: (Olumlu)

I am studying English. (İngilizce çalışıyorum.)

You are watching TV. (Sen televizyon izliyorsun.)

He is playing football. (O futbol oynuyor.)

We are having dinner. (Akşam yemeği yiyoruz.)

They are going home. (Onlar eve gidiyor.)

Negative: (Olumsuz)

I’m not sleeping. (Uyumuyorum.)

You aren’t reading a book. (Sen kitap okumuyorsun.)

He isn’t listening to the radio. (O radyo dinlemiyor.)

We aren’t cooking. (Biz yemek yapmıyoruz.)

They aren’t dancing. (Onlar dans etmiyorlar.)

To make a question in Present Continuous we follow the following form:
(Şimdiki zamanda soru aşağıdaki form şeklinde oluşturulur:)

(Question word) + Auxiliary + Subject + Verb + ing

Questions: (Sorular)

What are you doing at the moment? (Şu an ne yapıyorsun?)

Where is he working now? (O şimdi nerede çalışıyor?)

Why are you sleeping? (Neden uyuyorsun?)

Are you watching the match? (Maçı mı izliyorsun?)

Is he writing an email? (O email mi yazıyor?)

We make the present continuous tense by adding -ing to the base verb. Normally it’s simple – we just add -ing. But sometimes we have to change the word a little. Perhaps we double the last letter, or we drop a letter. Here are the rules to help you know how to spell the present continuous tense:
(İngilizce’de şimdiki zaman fiilin köküne “-ing” eklenerek yapılır. Fakat bazen kelimeyi biraz değiştirmemiz gerekir. Bazen son harf iki kere kullanılır bazense bir harf çıkartılır. Aşağıda şimdiki zamanın doğru kullanım şekilleri için gerekli kurallar bulunmaktadır:)

Usually we can just add -ing to the verb:
(Genellikle kelimenin sonuna “ing” eklenmektedir.)

eg. work – working

play – playing

walk – walking

If the base verb ends in consonant – vowel – consonant, we double the last consonant:
(Eğer fiil kökü sessiz harf + sesli harf + sessiz harf ile bitiyorsa sondaki harf çiftlenir.)

eg. stop – stopping

run – running

begin – beginning

If the base verb ends in -ie, we change it to a -y:
(Eğer fiil kökü “-ie” ile bitiyorsa “-y” ile değiştirilir.)

eg. lie – lying

die – dying

If the base verb ends in a vowel + consonant + -e, we remove the -e and add -ing:
(Eğer fiil kökü sesli harf + sessiz harf + “-e” ile bitiyorsa “-e” sislinir ve yerine “-ing” eklenir.)

eg. come – coming

take – taking
